    McDonald Park
    Located near the Swartz Bay ferry terminal, this park has a campground with picnic tables, water and pit toilets. It is often used by travellers coming to or leaving Vancouver Island by ferry. The park is a part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve.

    Princess Margaret Marine Park is located on Portland Island, just north of Sidney. Activities for visitors include hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and diving. The park has a number of wilderness campsites, each of which is equipped with toilets and fresh water.

    Horth Hill Regional Park
    Visitors who make their way to the summit of this park will be rewarded with views of the Gulf Islands, the San Juan Islands and the Saanich Peninsula along the way. Hummingbirds, swallowtails and American Robins all call the surrounding Douglas-fir, Garry Oak and western red cedar forests home.

    With a topography that consists of white-sand beaches, the Sidney Spit sandbar, a lagoon, forests and grasslands, Sidney Spit Marine Park is home to a variety of plants and animals, and offers visitors the chance to partake in activities such as hiking, beachcombing, swimming and kayaking. There are campsites in the park and all basic amenities are provided.

    Located on Rum Island, which was used by bootleggers during Prohibition, this park has campsites, picnic tables, pit toilets and trails that can be used by visitors. A part of the Gulf Island National Park Reserve, the park is a popular spot for kayaking.

    D'Arcy Island Marine Park
    Used as a leprosy colony for 30 years beginning in 1894, there is now a plaque commemorating the men sent to D'Arcy Island. In total, 49 men-48 of whom were Chinese-were sent here and ruins of the colony are still visible. The island is now a marine park used for picnics, camping, fishing, kayaking and snorkelling. It is part of the Gulf Island National Park Reserve.
